Trekking in Nepal

It is alternative route to taking flight to Lukla. Jiri can be reached by drive from Kathmandu. To trek from Jiri gives you good preparation for the Everest base camp trek. It is never flat as it crosses the grain of the land for the first five days. Lamjura La pass 3530m is the highest access of this trek just before Lukla, which bestows magnificent display of pink and iliac rhododendron in spring. The trek passes through Solukhumbu (before Lukla) that are relatively undeveloped compared with the northern part of the region. This facilitates trekkers to experience many traditional aspects of the culture of the local people.
Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu & transfer hotel
Day 02: Full day sightseeing in Kathmandu (Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Bhaktapur)
Day 03: Early morning flight to Lukla (2800m). Then trek to Phakding (2600m)
Day 04: After crossing the Dudh Koshi river , two hours walk up to Namche (3440m).
Day 05: Acclimatisation day / side trek to Shyangboche hill to view mountains.
Day 06: Trek to Khunde-Khumjung / 30 minutes walk / acclimatisation.
Day 07: Trek down to Dudh Koshi River / slowly up two hours to Thyangboche (3870m)
Day 08: Trek to Pangboche (3900m small Sherpa village)
Day 09: Trek to Phortse (3840m Small Sherpa village)
Day 10: Trek to Monjo (Small Sherpa village)
Day 11: Early morning trek to Lukla (2600m).
Day 12: Early morning flight from Lukla to Kathmandu
Day 13: Half day sightseeing Patan, Swayambhunath stupa
Day 14: Departure for your onward destination.
