Timal-Sailung Round Trekking

Timal-Sailung Round Trekking,Nepal village Treks

This trek provides spectacular views of the mountains to the north with the upper stretches of the Sun Koshi river viewed to the South. The early stages of the trek are particularly colourful in spring through thick Rhododendron forest.

From the highest altitude of Kalinchowk (3579m) there are some splendid views of Annapurna, Lamjung, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Shisha Panga, Langtang, Dorjee Lakpa, Jugal Himal, Amabamori, Gauri Shanker, and Numbur Himal. There is the opportunity to visit a prominent temple for Hindus constructed to worship the Goddess Laxmi. Two natural springs originate from this region at Sundhara and Tama, which are the main sources of the large Sun Koshi and Tama Koshi (rivers). The trek ends at the district headquarters Charikot where we stayed overnight before travelling to Kathmandu the next day.
