Bhairav Kunda is a holy lake named god Shiva the "Bhairav" who in this particular form is God of destruction destroying both good and evil. The lake lies to the northeast of Kathmandu close to the Nepal- Tibet boundary. This particular trek is reached after a four and a half hour bus ride to the starting point at Jalbire, a traditional small town full of "Newari" culture where we stayed overnight. The 13 day trek provides a perfect insight into many different cultures and lifestyles and passes through dense forests and grazing lands. The top of Bhairab Kund offers an admirable view of The Rolwaling range, Jugal himal and some mountains of Tibet as well. On the last day of the trip we wil take a bus ride back to Kathmandu from Larche.
