Itinerary

Day 01: Kathmandu (1300) -Kerung Border (145 Km) 05-06 hours drive
Early in the morning scenic drive to Kerung Border (Nepal-Tibet Border) through the beautiful Nepalese countryside and after necessary border formalities at Nepalese immigration, an hour adventurous uphill drive by Bus & jeep(normally) or 2 hour walk uphill (in case of landslide to Chinese immigration, check-in to hotel or Continue drive to Kerung. Stay overnight at the Guest House.

Day 02:Kerung - Tingri (4300m) / Lhatse (4,350m): 225 Km/244 Km
Day drive uphill to the highest plateau of the world with the typical view of Tibetan landscape offering sheer feeling of standing on the roof of the world. from where, weather permitting, a breathtaking panorama of beautiful Himalayan ranges including Mt Cho Oyu (8201 M) & Mt Xishapagma (8012M) but dwarfed by the Vastness of the Tibetan plateau. From TINGRI, one can enjoy the magnificence of Mt. Everest (8,848 M). Stay overnight at Guest House

Day 03:Tingri to Rongbuk (4980 M): 90 Km
Drive to Ronbuk, Visit Rongbuk Monastery and Hike up to Everest Base Camp O/N at Guest House.

Day 04:Ronbuk to Shigatse (3900m) 334km
Continue scenic drive crossing Over Getchu La (5,220M), the highest pass en route to Lhasa via Lhatse from where a road to Mt Kailash bifurcates to the west. Stay overnight at hotel

Day 05 Shigatse- Gyantse (3950m): 90km.
After visiting Tashilhunpo Monastery in the morning including the bazaar of Xigatse, drive to Gyantse, which is 02 hrs. This is a small bustling town, steeped in history. It lies 264km southwest of Lhasa on the northern bank of Nyan Chu River. In the 15th century it served as the capital of the small kingdom. Visit Kumbun Chorten and Phaklakor Monastery, which was built around 1400 and it later became the main Centre for trade with British India. Overnight.

Day 06 Gyantse- Lhasa (5010m) -260km
08-hr drive takes you to Lhasa crossing the Karola Pass (4794m). The Karola climbs between two lofty mountains, Nozing Khangsa (7223m) and Ralung (6236m) while driving you will see the Yamdrok Tso (Turquoise Lake) which takes approx. 1 hour to cross around. After passing Kampala, Lhasa Valley is seen to the north. You will also cross the Brahmaputra River. Reaching Lhasa and checking in at the hotel. The accompanied guide will reconfirm your onward airline ticket. Overnight l.

Day 07 &08: Lhasa sightseeing
These days you will be engrossed with sightseeing and excursions of the Potala Place, The Jokhang Temple surrounding Barkhor market Drepung Monastery and Sera Monastery. Overnight.

Day 09: Lhasa to Chengdu/Kathmandu/Beijing flight
