Chandragiri Hills is a beautiful view point inside Kathmandu valley to see the scenic Himalayan ranges from Kathmandu. On top of the hills, there is a temple of Shiva (God) which is one of the biggest shrines for Hindu people. Many people who follow Hinduism visit these places to worship God Shiva.
Chandragiri is not only famous for the temple but it’s famous for the panoramic mountain view like Ganesh, Manaslu, Langtang, Dorje Lakpa, Jugal Himal and other mountain peaks. Another attraction of this place is to ride a Cable car to reach the top and you can enjoy the greenery, forest and flora. A day tour to Chandragiri Hills and Swayambhunath starts at 9 am in the morning from Kathmandu. Day tour guide will come to your hotel to pick you up in your hotel. Cable cars start at 09 am in the morning and take about 45 minutes from Thamel, Durbar Marg or nearest places around. We will give you the Chandragiri Hills Cable car tickets. Enjoy 4 hours on top of the Chandragiri hills and ride back to the station. Around the view point, there are nice restaurants and also small activities for kids. For the family visit, this is the perfect spot to explore.
After Chandragiri Hills on the way back to the hotel, visit Swayambhunath stupa. Swayambhunath Temple is full of rich symbolism and is one of the oldest religious sites in Nepal. The temple offers an incredible panoramic view of Kathmandu. Later we will drop by your hotel.
