Sundarijal, Chisapani & Nagarkot trip is a short and easily accessible journey that escorts you to three distinct destinations–Sundarijal, Chisapani, and Nagarkot–integrated to present a perfect escape from the buzz and pollution of the cities.
After a hearty breakfast at the 3 Stars Hotel in Thamel, you will travel an hour to Sundarijal, where the Chisapani Nagarkot Trek begins. You will reach Shivapuri National Park after hiking for 30 minutes from Sundarijal, where you may obtain a permit to enter the park before moving on. As you progressively ascent, you will reach Mulkharka, a settlement where you will stop for lunch or some refreshments. The Chisapani Nagarkot Trek Route will then take you through a beautiful jungle and stone-paved steps all the way to Chisapani, which is renowned for having one of the best dawn viewpoints in the world with spectacular views of Gaurisankar, Ganesh Himal, Dorje Lakpa, and other adjacent peaks.
You will continue your Chisapani Nagarkot Trek via the Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park today. Here, a wide variety of animals has been sighted, including Indian leopards and Himalayan black bears. You are more likely to spot some of the smaller creatures, such as mongooses, porcupines, jungle cats, pangolins, etc. Look for the yellow-throated marten and hundreds of other species if you enjoy bird watching. You will stop for lunch en route at Chauki Bhanjyang or Jhule before continuing on to Nagarkot in time to see the Himalayas come into view at dusk. Before enjoying a delicious supper in one of the numerous hotels in this well-known hill station, ranging from cheap to premium, you may take in the views from the viewing tower or from another spot.
One of the best parts of your Chisapani Nagarkot Trek is this morning when you get to see the sun rise over 8 of the 13 Himalayan Mountains! You will be in amazement as you watch the sunrise over the mountains. You could be teased by the clouds as they rise and descend, disclosing, obscuring, and then re-revealing the gorgeous mountains. A nice breakfast in the fresh, cold air is also included with all of this! Pulling yourself away from this act of nature, head toward Changu Narayan Temple, which is around 4 hours distant (mostly downhill).
An ancient temple to Lord Vishnu called Changu Narayan is claimed to be the oldest in Nepal. The Changu Narayan Monument Zone was severely damaged by the 2015 earthquake, although repair efforts have been made by UNESCO and other organizations. The fascinating living museum provides insight into Nepali and Newari culture, art, and history and is beside the temples. It was unaffected by the earthquake. The Chisapani Nagarkot Trek Itinerary will come to an end when you take a brief journey back to Kathmandu.
