To reach the base camp from Pisang village, the path ascends through sparse wood and pasture to a Kharka at 4,380m which, is considered the best place for setting up the base camp. High Camp is set up at 5,400m climbing to a shoulder on the South-West Ridge. There will be snow at the high camp from the end of November to the end of March. The well defined ridge leads to the final snow which is quite steep but not difficult to reach the summit. Descent is made on the same route.
As soon as guests arrive in Kathmandu, they are welcomed with generosity. After making them comfortable, they are then transferred to the hotel. Then they will be explained briefly about the program upon their arrival. Overnight stay at a hotel.
Kathmandu Valley includes several UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including Pashupatinath (famous Hindu temple and cremation ground) Boudhanath (massive Buddhist stupa). We can also visit Swyambhunath, also known as Monkey Temple, which was built roughly 2000 years ago. Finally, we can visit Patan, city of fine arts. In the afternoon, you will be meeting with your trekking guide and will check all the necessary things. Overnight stay at the hotel.
We take breakfast at the hotel in Kathmandu and start our journey with a drive to Besisahar along the Prithvi Highway. It is a 5-6 hours drive from Kathmandu along the Trishuli Riverand later the Mayshyangdi River. Besisahar is a little town and also the district headquarters of Lamjung district. We then take a jeep to Syange, where will will begin our trek. Overnight in guest house.
After having breakfast, we resume the trek through the jungle. The trail goes along the banks of Marshyangdi River and climbs up before reaching. From here, we go into Manang district continuing all the way through rice, barley and potato fields past the village of Kodo, taking us to Dharapani. Overnight at guesthouse.
The trail climbs to Tyanja at about 2360m, then moving on through the forest near the river, to Kopar at 2590m. When we reach there, we are rewarded by the fine views of Annapurna II. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.
The day starts through deep forest in a step and narrow valley, crosses a river via a suspension bridge at 3040m. From there the trail joins to climb to Pisang which sprawls between 3200m and 3300m. Once you have reached there you will be gifted with the wonderful views of beautiful sceneries from the peak of the valley of Manang and the range of Annapurna. Pisang Peak (3240m) is not tricky to climb yet it is difficult because Pisang Peak is known for its slippery feature that may cause a problem. Overnight stay at a guest house.
On the eighth day of the itinerary, we stay and take rest in Pisang for acclimatization purpose. Pisang is good for viewing the tall mountain peaks and the local culture and the surrounding village. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.
Today, we will be trekking to Kharka (Pisang Peak Base Camp) located at the altitude of 4380 meters. It is a different landscape than the previous days. It requires more stamina and energy. So, you should be prepared mentally and physically. Overnight stay at a guest house.
It is another day for acclimatization as you will be tired and exhausted from the earlier day’s trek. Besides acclimatization and rest, you can also explore more regions in Kharka on the day. There are lots of things that you can explore in Kharka and without any doubt you will be fascinated with its surrounding. Overnight in guest house.
The next day, you will move for the trek to Pisang Peak High Camp (5400m). This is the most beautiful place around Pisang. Before you trek towards Pisang Peak High Camp, it is good to study something about the features of Pisang Peak High Camp so that you can enjoy this adventurous trek. Overnight stay at a tented camp.
Trek to Peak Summit (6091m) will offer the most speculator view of the high mountains. It will be one of the memorable Peak climbing moments for you as you scale the summit of the Pisang Peak. Overnight stay at a tented camp.
After breakfast, we start the return trek to Pokhara from the Pisang Peak. Continue through the arid upper part of the Manang district. The area doesn’t get any rain during the time of the monsoon due to the Annapurna Range blocking the rain. People of this region are yak herders and raise crops for the part of the year. Leaving Pisang, we have alternative trails north and south of the Marshyangdi River which meets up again at Mungji. From Mungji, the trail continues past the picturesque but partially hidden village of Bryanga at 3475m to nearby Manang. Overnight stay at a guesthouse either in Pisang or Manag.
After breakfast, we retrace our steps back to Chyamje along the same route as before. Overnight in guest house.
After breakfast, we descend further to Ngadi, enjoying the spectacular scenery along the way. Overnight in guest house in Ngadi.
We enjoy the 9-10 hour scenic drive from Ngadi to Kathmandu. The drive does not feel so long, as we are distracted by the beauty outside of our winder. Farewell dinner in the evening in Kathmandu. Overnight in Hotel
